Square Enix announced new details for Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Bianca and Flora of the Withered Land, scheduled for release on December 3, 2026, across PC, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch, with a Steam release on December 4. The title supports cross-play, allowing users on different platforms to interact.
Online cooperative play allows up to four players to tackle giant monsters. Participants can support teammates to accumulate a co-op bonus, which increases damage and healing output. Additionally, players can engage in Master Rank Matches, a competitive mode featuring seven tiers ranging from Beginner to Legend, where victory earns rank points and rewards.
The offline Arena features G through A class battles. A new roguelike mode, The Path to the True Monster Master, challenges players to survive 50 consecutive matches. Participants must build a party from randomized monsters, with the ability to strengthen their team by breeding defeated opponents. Each run offers unique encounters and rewards.
Communication features include private matches and an online shop with rotating inventory. Notably, online modes exclude the Master's Aura mechanic, requiring monsters to rely solely on their own stats. Players can also access event quests for rare monster eggs, which hatch into new companions.
