Square Enix has provided an official playtime estimate for the upcoming HD-2D JRPG Final Fantasy Resonance. According to the developer, players should expect the main campaign to last between 30 and 40 hours.
The game retells the Season 1 narrative from the Brave Exvius mobile title, focusing on the journey of knights Rain and Lasswell alongside Fina. This duration estimate specifically covers the primary story path and excludes extra content.
Beyond the main quest, the title will feature optional activities such as Secret Dungeons that are not included in the 30 to 40-hour projection. Square Enix also clarified that while the game includes various cameos, new players will receive proper introductions to these characters through individual stories.
Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled for release on October 22, 2026. It will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, and Switch 2, with a playable demo currently accessible to the public.
