Key information
The 30th annual Internet Week (IW) conference, scheduled for 2026, will explore the theme of surviving in the AI era. The event includes an online portion from November 19 to November 24, followed by an on-site program at KFC Hall & Rooms in Tokyo from November 25 to November 27.
A key session titled C12, "AI-era Security Incident Response – What to Delegate, What to Handle," will feature Yusuke Ide from Tokio Marine dR. The program aims to analyze the evolving roles of humans as AI increasingly assists with data analysis and operational tasks.
Ide plans to break down incident handling into specific actions, including technical containment, public relations, and executive decision-making. He intends to demonstrate which tasks are suitable for AI and which require human judgment, offering a perspective rooted in risk management rather than purely technical operations.
Planning lead Fumika Miki notes that the session is designed for practitioners to reflect on their own workflows. While the content is practical, it remains accessible to those outside of security, encouraging IT and network operations staff to consider how these strategies apply to their own professional responsibilities.
