Riot Games has updated Valorant to improve the clarity of agent information by explicitly labeling existing unique abilities as passives. This change does not introduce new combat powers but instead organizes current systems into distinct passive categories to help players intuitively understand agent mechanics.

Seven agents have received these passive designations: Gekko, Reyna, Iso, Neon, Fade, Phoenix, and Viper. Each agent's unique system has been assigned a specific name to highlight their core gameplay identity.

The specific passive mechanics include Gekko's 'Dormant Globule' for skill retrieval, Reyna's 'Soul Harvest' for kill-based healing, and Iso's 'Contingency' state. Neon utilizes 'Battery' for movement, while Fade tracks enemies via 'Terror Trails'. Phoenix benefits from 'Heating Up' to recover health from his own fire, and Viper manages 'Toxic' fuel for her utility.

By categorizing these systems, Riot Games aims to assist users in better grasping the specialized combat structures inherent to each character. This update focuses on information delivery rather than altering existing gameplay balance.
