Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that Control Resonant has reached one million copies sold within three weeks of its release. This milestone establishes the title as the fastest-selling game in the studio's 31-year history, surpassing the previous record held by Alan Wake 2.

While the game achieved this record for the developer, the pace is slower compared to other industry titles. For instance, The Blood of Dawnwalker reached one million sales in three days, while Subnautica 2 sold two million units in 12 hours.

CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon described the sales figure as a very strong start for the company's first self-published release of this scale. He noted that the game is successfully connecting with both long-time fans and new players, which the studio believes strengthens the long-term potential of the Control franchise.

The financial impact of these sales on the company's profitability remains a key focus following the appointment of Gaudechon to lead the firm into a phase of profitable growth. Further details regarding the game's contribution to the bottom line are expected during Remedy's Q3 business review on November 3.
