NCSoft has officially deployed the Drakan update for its PC MMORPG AION. This release marks the first major content expansion following the AION Remake introduced in May.
The update introduces the new Drakan worlds, alongside fresh Drakan dragon-kin enemies capable of shifting between human-like magic forms and powerful area-of-effect dragon forms. Players can also explore the new Lunadium instance dungeon and the time-limited field known as Primordial Ishalgen.
New world participants can utilize the Growth Express event to earn rewards like capes, unique-grade accessories, and manastones as they level up. Additional initiatives include the Latecomer event for those who missed pre-registration and the First Daeva event, which rewards players for completing specific missions first.
Systemic improvements accompany the content, such as the removal of entry limits for certain dungeons and the addition of new travel hubs. Furthermore, players now receive a 100% refund of enchantment stones when dismantling legendary gear, while class balance in the Katara Stadium has been adjusted and unlimited flight is now enabled.
