IO Interactive has officially scheduled the release of 007 First Light for the Switch 2 on March 18, 2027. This launch follows several delays for the title, which was originally intended to debut alongside other platform versions in May 2026.
The Switch 2 edition features a unique incentive for early adopters. Customers who preorder the game on this platform will receive the GoldenEye Suit, which replicates the attire worn by Pierce Brosnan in the 1995 film, specifically including a notably oversized tie.
This exclusive content acknowledges the historical connection between the GoldenEye franchise and Nintendo hardware, referencing the iconic 1997 N64 title. No other platforms will receive this specific cosmetic item.
Prior to this upcoming release, 007 First Light has achieved commercial success with over 4 million copies sold. While IO Interactive manages development for the Switch 2 version, the studio is also currently working on a new fantasy project following staff layoffs.
