NetEase Games and Starry Studio have released the major Ocean update titled Forbidden Island for the survival game Once Human. This content expansion is available starting October 22 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iOS, and PC platforms.
The update introduces an eerie ocean environment featuring five distinct maritime zones. Players must contend with an ancient entity known as the King of the Sea-Ruins, which poses a significant obstacle during nautical travel.
To navigate these waters, players can construct and customize various vessels, ranging from agile small boats to massive, mobile maritime bases called Sea Fortresses. These structures allow for the integration of both land and sea resources, while underwater exploration provides access to hidden treasures and aquatic materials.
The update also implements cross-play and cross-progression functionality across all supported hardware. This enables seamless multiplayer interaction between different platforms and allows users to carry over their data to continue playing on alternative devices.
