Key information

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Nano, a new compact controller designed for portability and users with smaller hands. Priced at 49,99 €, the device is scheduled for commercial release on 4 November 2026, with pre-orders currently open.

The controller measures approximately 13 centimeters and weighs 100 grams. Despite its reduced size, it retains the standard 18 controls, including joysticks and triggers, while adding a programmable button configurable via the Xbox Accessories app.

The Xbox Nano features a built-in rechargeable battery and supports Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth for use across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Android, and iOS. However, it lacks a 3,5 mm headphone jack, and the necessary USB-C charging cable is not included in the package.

Reviewers suggest the Nano serves as an ideal secondary or travel device. However, the traditional Xbox controller remains recommended for intensive daily use due to its superior ergonomics, textured grips, and integrated headphone support, which may be more comfortable for long gaming sessions.
