Publisher Retrovibe and developer targim. have announced that the first-person shooter COP BASTARD will launch on PC via Steam and GOG.com on October 29, 2026.
Set in early 90s Osaka, the game features a tough detective fighting against waves of Yakuza. The title is designed for fans of classic shooters, intentionally omitting modern mechanics like ADS, puzzles, and character builds to focus on intense, 90s action movie-inspired gameplay.
Players must navigate tight corridors and survive relentless enemy encounters using firearms like pistols and machine guns. A unique mechanic allows players to recover health by spitting on the corpses of defeated enemies.
The game includes Japanese language support and is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026. A playable demo is currently available on the Steam store page.
