Nvidia has officially removed the GeForce RTX 5090 from its marketplace as of October 15, 2026. This development follows widespread reports and rumors suggesting that the company has halted production of its flagship gaming graphics card.

Retailer Micro Center has reclassified the card as "Not Carried," indicating that the product is no longer part of its active catalog and is not expected to be restocked. While custom models from partners like Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte remain listed on the retailer's website, they are currently out of stock at all physical locations.

The only remaining availability at most Micro Center stores is the Asus GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Astral Edition 20, which is bundled in an exclusive package priced at nearly $11,000. One customer reported that staff claimed remaining inventory was being pulled from shelves to be sent elsewhere, though Nvidia has not provided an official comment regarding a formal discontinuation.

Industry speculation suggests Nvidia may be reallocating GB202 silicon toward higher-margin professional and AI data center GPUs. While the company's website still displays a starting price of $1,999, the card has effectively transitioned from a standard flagship to an increasingly unattainable product.
