GentleManiac has released a content update for its mobile strategy SRPG, Horizon Walker, on the 22nd. The update introduces a new playable character, Mok Young-young, alongside a themed Halloween event story and a significant overhaul of the character growth system.
Mok Young-young is a veteran agent from the Rift Management Bureau's Confidential Protection Division. Players can explore her background through a dedicated Halloween event titled 'Night of Lies: Trick or Twin' and specific affinity stories. Additionally, a succubus-themed costume is available via the season pass, which modifies the character's appearance, weapon, and dialogue.
The update also revises the 'Stigma' system by introducing new tiers. This change allows players to acquire higher-grade Stigmas to enhance their characters' combat capabilities. CEO Lee Tae-woong stated that these improvements aim to deepen player engagement with their favorite characters.
Horizon Walker is currently available on platforms including Google Play, the Apple App Store, and One Store. GentleManiac intends to continue expanding its character-driven content to strengthen its presence in the subculture gaming market.
