Ubisoft has announced plans to close the Finnish studio RedLynx, known for the Trials series, while simultaneously implementing staff reductions at Ubisoft Singapore, the developer behind Skull and Bones.
The proposed closure of RedLynx, which currently employs 52 people, is subject to mandatory Finnish labor negotiations. The studio, acquired by Ubisoft in 2011, has not been working on new projects recently.
Regarding Ubisoft Singapore, the company confirmed that 70 positions are affected, though some reports suggest this could impact up to 20% of the workforce. This studio, established in 2008, has contributed to the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
These changes are part of broader corporate restructuring, which also includes the closure of Rainbow Six Mobile in January 2027 and the consolidation of several international studios under the Massive Entertainment brand.
