Key information

Nexon released its second autumn update for MapleStory on October 22, introducing new events, boss difficulty levels, and community features. The update includes the Maple Escape: Missing Nemi event and the return of the Golden Hand Awards.

The Maple Escape: Missing Nemi event runs until November 18. Players engage with NPC Detective Pink Bean across four chapters, solving puzzles and missions to uncover clues. Completing chapters rewards players with items like the Witch Hat Riding and Halloween-themed home decorations. Those finishing all four chapters may enter a drawing for one of 200 tickets to an offline MapleStory escape room.

Extreme difficulty modes for bosses Limbo and Valdrix have been added for characters level 285 and 290 respectively, with party limits of three. Defeating these bosses yields new Exceptional Hammer items for pocket and pendant equipment. Additionally, Nexon improved visibility for boss patterns and effects.

The second Golden Hand Awards, a user creation contest, is open for submissions until November 11. Categories include hair, face, outfit sets, pets, and the new Sol Hecate skin. Winners receive cash prizes, Nexon Cash, and custom merchandise. Other updates include the Detective Yeti's Suspicious Magnifying Glass event, expanded growth missions, and the Maple Talk communication system.
