Key information
Rockstar Games unveiled the launch trailer for GTA VI on October 15, 2026. The ninety-second video highlights action sequences, high-speed chases, and narrative moments featuring protagonists Jason and Lucia. This release occurs shortly before the game's scheduled launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The footage focuses on the criminal conspiracy involving the duo across the state of Leonida, including scenes in Vice City. Unlike previous trailers, this video emphasizes the relationship between the characters, showcasing both intense shootouts and intimate personal moments. Rockstar confirmed that all visuals were captured directly from gameplay on a PlayStation 5 console.
The trailer features the debut of the song Flower in a Hurricane, a collaboration between Justice, Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. This track is part of the official Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which is currently available for pre-save on streaming platforms. Physical editions on CD and vinyl are also available for pre-order.
With a release date of November 19, 2026, GTA VI qualifies for the 2026 The Game Awards, as the event accepts titles released by November 20. While the developer previously showcased gameplay activities on August 27, it remains uncertain if further trailers will be released before the game officially arrives.
