Key information

Ubisoft has initiated a restructuring plan that proposes the closure of the Finland-based studio RedLynx. Additionally, the company is reducing its workforce at Ubisoft Singapore, the developer responsible for Skull and Bones.

The potential shutdown of RedLynx, which would impact 52 employees, is currently a proposal rather than a final decision. Under Finnish law, the company must undergo mandatory consultations and negotiations with staff before finalizing such changes. The studio, acquired by Ubisoft in 2011, is recognized for the Trials series, with its most recent release being 2019's Trials Rising.

Regarding the Singapore office, Ubisoft confirmed that 70 positions have been affected by the cuts. While some reports suggest this reduction could represent up to 20% of the studio's total workforce, the company maintains that the closure of RedLynx is being considered because the studio is not currently developing a new project.

These developments occur alongside broader organizational shifts, including the upcoming closure of Rainbow Six Mobile in January 2027. Furthermore, Ubisoft is reorganizing its Creative House 2, consolidating studios in Paris, Montréal, Sweden, and Toronto under the Massive Entertainment brand.
