Arc System Works, the developer behind the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchises, has officially announced its expansion with a new facility in Tokyo. Named Arc System Works Tokyo Studio "Takumi," the branch is scheduled to open its doors on November 2.

The company aims to bolster its production capabilities through this new location. While specific details regarding their upcoming projects remain undisclosed, the studio is currently hiring and actively working on a new fighting game, which was previously registered in documents from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

This unannounced title is expected to feature the developer's signature cel-shaded aesthetic, which mimics traditional animation. The project is planned for release on all major platforms and will include support for multiple languages.

Beyond this new development, the studio continues to support Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, which launched August 6, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC. The team confirmed the first year of downloadable content for the title, including characters such as Cyclops, Phoenix, Jane Foster's Thor, Venom, and Jubilee.
