Key information
Geoff Keighley, host and organizer of The Game Awards, has confirmed that the narrative title Dispatch from developer AdHoc Studio is eligible for major awards at the 2026 ceremony.
The first season of the game, consisting of 8 episodes, launched on November 12, 2025. While it received critical acclaim, the nomination voting process for the 2025 awards occurred before reviewers could experience the full content, as early access was not provided.
Dispatch previously earned a nomination for Best Debut Indie Game at the 2025 event. AdHoc Studio noted that being recognized despite judges only experiencing half of the season was significant for their team.
Eligibility for 2026 requires games to meet a November 20 deadline, with the Players' Voice category extending to November 30. While the game is eligible, final nominations remain subject to the jury's decision.
