Key information

Nintendo updated the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics library on October 14 by adding Metal Slug Advance, Kururin Paradise, and Monster Farm Advance. Following this update, the CERO rating for the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics software was raised from A (All Ages) to B (12 and up).

The rating adjustment is likely attributed to the inclusion of Metal Slug Advance. Historically, the Metal Slug series has consistently received a B rating from CERO since March 2006, often accompanied by a violence descriptor icon. Other titles in the series, such as Metal Slug 7 and various ACA NEOGEO ports, also carry a B rating.

Prior to this change, Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics was the only service in the Nintendo Classics lineup to maintain an A rating. With this update, no Nintendo Classics service currently holds an A rating, as other platforms like the Super Famicom and Game Boy are already rated B, while NINTENDO 64 is rated C or Z.

Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics is available for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Access requires a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The service offers features such as save states, rewind, and local or online multiplayer for two to four players.
