Publisher Game Source Entertainment has officially released the first-person 3D puzzle platformer THANKS, LIGHT. Developed by South Korean studio Lightersgames, the title is now available for players on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The core gameplay revolves around manipulating space between shadows and physical forms. By using a flashlight, players can transform 2D shadows into 3D objects and vice versa. For instance, light cast on a flat square on the ground can expand it into a staircase, while removing light from a stone pillar causes it to collapse back into a shadow.
Lightersgames CEO Heebeom Jeong stated that the game is designed to be learned through observation and analysis rather than text-based tutorials. Press Play Media described the experience as both puzzling and elegant, noting that it rewards spatial insight and experimentation rather than simple trial and error.
The game supports a wide range of languages, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese. A free demo, which has received positive feedback from players, remains accessible on Steam for those interested in exploring its mechanics.
