Nexon has announced that DEAR MY HERO, the first theatrical animated film based on the online MMORPG MapleStory, will hold special screenings in Japan. The events are scheduled for November 7, 2026, in Tokyo and November 8, 2026, in Osaka.
The film was originally released in June 2026 across approximately 100 Lotte Cinema screens in South Korea to commemorate the game's 23rd anniversary. It received positive feedback from fans for its production quality, including its music, combat sequences, and immersive storytelling that captures the essence of the MapleStory world.
These Japanese screenings will feature a newly produced Japanese dubbed version, marking the film's debut in the country. The events are strictly by invitation, and attendees will receive exclusive merchandise, including a cinema ticket with a case, an art card, and stickers.
Interested players can apply for the screenings between October 21 and October 27, 2026, via the official campaign website. Participation requires a valid NEXON ID to enter the selection process.
