Key information

IO Interactive has officially announced that 007 First Light will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027. This release follows several delays that allowed the developer to dedicate additional time to adapting the title for the new console.

The developer showcased playable demonstrations at Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show, where the reception was reported as positive. IO Interactive stated that they are continuing to focus on optimization and performance to meet player expectations, though specific details regarding resolution and frame rates remain undisclosed.

Pre-orders for the Switch 2 version are currently open, offering the GoldenEye Suit as a bonus. A Deluxe edition priced at $69.99 in the United States includes four additional outfits and special equipment replicas, while an Amazon-exclusive edition features the Classic Tuxedo suit.

While the game has already sold over 4 million copies on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, it is currently unclear if the Extended Operations update—which introduced New Game+ and new missions—will be fully available on the Switch 2 at launch.
