Key information

On October 15, Konami Arcade Games announced in the Konami Group Integrated Report 2026 that it is considering a reboot of the jubeat series. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to rediscover popular legacy music games, following the recent reboot efforts for the pop’n music series.

The jubeat series is characterized by its accessible gameplay, where players touch panels in rhythm with music. The current title, jubeat beyond the Ave., allows up to four players to compete or cooperate, featuring a system where players can be assisted by others in the same match if they fail to clear a song.

Yoshitaka Nishimura, head of the arcade game business, stated that the company aims to engage new players who have never experienced music games before to revitalize amusement facilities. This strategy focuses on leveraging established titles to attract a wider audience.

Regarding hardware, a location test for a new cabinet was held on April 25 and 26 at Taito Station Mizonokuchi. This new cabinet is scheduled to be exhibited at the AMUSEMENT EXPO 2026, which will take place on November 6 and 7.
