Key information
Slow Bros. has officially announced that their narrative adventure game, Harold Halibut, is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The title is scheduled for release on November 12, 2026.
The game features a distinct visual style created using handmade puppets and stop-motion animation. Players control Harold, an assistant to a lead scientist aboard the Fedora I, a city-sized spaceship submerged in an alien ocean after fleeing Earth.
In a previous review, the game was described as an interactive stop-motion film with impressive audiovisual quality. However, the assessment noted that the experience can feel tedious, citing issues where interactivity decreases as the game progresses and some mechanics remain underutilized.
Originally released in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, this upcoming version allows the title to be played on the new Nintendo platform. The story follows Harold as he encounters the ship's inhabitants and discovers a potential path to a new world.
