On October 14, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Nano Controller, a new gamepad designed to be smaller and more affordable than the standard model. Priced at 49,99 dollars, the device is marketed toward younger players, individuals with smaller hands, and those seeking a portable gaming solution.
The controller measures slightly over five inches in length and weighs approximately 3,5 ounces. Despite its reduced size, it retains all 18 standard buttons and inputs. It features a rechargeable battery, Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth support, and a programmable Action button for capturing screenshots or gameplay.
Microsoft notes the controller is well-suited for cloud gaming, particularly via Samsung's TV Gaming Hub. However, the company has indicated that future restrictions on cloud play time are planned, which may require some users to pay additional fees, though specific details remain unannounced.
Pre-orders for the device are currently open, with a release expected in November across select markets. Microsoft states that availability will expand to further regions over time, noting that pricing may vary by country. Promotional bundles including two months of Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers are also being offered with specific hardware purchases.
