On October 14, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Nano Controller, a new compact device designed for younger players, individuals with smaller hands, or those seeking a portable option. Priced at 49.99 dollars, the company describes it as the smallest controller ever released for the Xbox platform.

The controller measures approximately 12.7 centimeters in length and weighs about 100 grams. Despite its size, it retains all 18 standard buttons and controls. It features a rechargeable battery, a programmable Action Button for shortcuts like screenshots, and supports both Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity.

According to Microsoft and GameSpot, the device is particularly suited for cloud gaming. However, Microsoft noted that future cloud gaming time limits may be introduced, potentially requiring additional costs for some users, though specific details on these limits remain unannounced.

Pre-orders are currently open, with a market launch scheduled for November. Microsoft is also bundling the controller with two months of Game Pass Ultimate for new subscribers purchasing specific Samsung TVs or Meta Quest headsets. Availability will expand to further markets over time, with pricing subject to regional variation.
