A new fan-made short film brings Resident Evil 7 to life in a 19-minute production. The project features Chandler Riggs, known for his role as Carl Grimes in The Walking Dead, portraying Ethan Winters, while Jason Douglas appears as the antagonist Jack Baker.
The film aims to recreate the oppressive atmosphere of the original survival-horror title. Notably, the production includes a recreation of the game's iconic garage fight sequence, though it shifts from the game's first-person perspective to a third-person camera angle.
Chandler Riggs stated in an interview with IGN that the team originally intended to release the project before Zach Cregger's upcoming film. Despite missing that target due to production delays, the short film has already garnered 1.5 million views within its first 24 hours of release.
