Key information
The virtual League of Legends music group K/DA is set to reveal new developments on October 20. This announcement follows a social media update on the 14th, marking the group's first major activity in five years since the release of their track MORE.
K/DA debuted in 2018 with the single POP/STARS, featuring Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. The original vocalists included Miyeon and Soyeon of (G)I-DLE, alongside Madison Beer and Jaira Burns. The music video for their debut remains the most-viewed track among all League of Legends world championship or virtual group songs.
Fans have expressed concerns regarding the potential return of the original vocal lineup. Previous releases saw changes in performers, such as the replacement of Evelynn and Kai'Sa's original singers for the track THE BADDEST. Recent virtual groups like HEARTSTEEL have also featured significant roster changes, with only BAEKHYUN remaining from the initial lineup.
Riot Games has been actively promoting virtual music projects recently. Beyond K/DA, the company has highlighted the boy band HEARTSTEEL, the mixed group TRUE DAMAGE, and the metal band Pentakill, which recently released a symphonic version of a world championship theme.
