On October 14, Brocap Studio s.r.o. launched Hubert, an adventure game where players control a loyal sheepdog named Hubert. Accompanied by his human companion Lily, Hubert must guide a flock of sheep through the harsh northern wilderness, navigating difficult terrain and unpredictable weather.
The core gameplay involves managing a large flock of sheep, which requires players to bark and run ahead to keep the distracted animals in line. Beyond the pasture, the game shifts to exploration, where Hubert utilizes canine abilities such as scent tracking and marking territory to investigate mysterious forests.
A unique feature of the title is the internal monologue of the protagonist. Hubert expresses his thoughts and feelings throughout the journey, with footage showing him complaining about the smell of the sheep, highlighting his internal conflicts and personality.
Hubert is currently available on Steam, with a PlayStation 5 version also scheduled for release in October. The game supports Japanese interfaces and subtitles. Until October 29, the title is offered at a 10 percent discount for 2520 yen including tax.
