Publisher Re³ and developer Studio Hi have announced that the PC puzzle-action game Re:Re:Re:Respawn will release on Steam on October 29. The title is priced at 980 yen and marks the first starring role in a video game for comedian Kuruma Takahira of the duo Reiwa Roman.
The gameplay centers on a unique mechanic where the protagonist gains the ability to resurrect while leaving behind their corpse. Players must strategically utilize these remains as platforms, weights, or shields to bypass lethal traps and navigate the mysterious, massive structure known as the BOX.
New screenshots have been released, offering a glimpse into the game's unsettling atmosphere and environments beyond those seen in previous trailers. These images highlight the protagonist's journey through the inorganic corridors of the BOX and provide a first look at cutscenes featuring Takahira.
Prospective players can currently test the core mechanics of the game through a free demo available on Steam. This trial allows users to experience the puzzle-solving loop of dying and repurposing one's own body to progress through the stages before the full launch.
