FUJIYAMA ENTERTAINMENT has released an update for the demo of its seafaring strategy title, Fortunia: Pioneers of Trade, available on PC and Mac. The game, directed by Shunsuke Katsumata, is set in a fantasy world inspired by the 16th-century Age of Discovery.
Players assume the role of a young captain, utilizing dice rolls to navigate sea routes and manage trade between various ports. Success requires balancing the randomness of dice with strategic decisions regarding market prices and cargo selection to build wealth and fulfill royal mandates.
The latest update expands the demo to include the first chapter of the campaign mode, which serves as a tutorial. Additionally, a new competitive mode has been introduced, allowing users to engage in both local and online multiplayer matches.
The title is currently featured in the Steam Next Fest: October 2026 Edition, which concludes on October 26. Developers plan to launch early access on Steam soon, promising further expansions to the game's world and content beyond the current demo.
