Publisher Folden Publishing has released an updated free demo for the 2D physics-based cooperative action game Salty Dogs, coinciding with the Steam Next Fest. The title supports both solo play and online cooperative sessions for up to four players, featuring full official support for the Korean language.

In this game, players control armed canine divers exploring polluted waters to retrieve treasure and battle hostile sea creatures. Mechanics emphasize physics, as treasures possess weight and inertia that require team coordination to transport. If delivery is delayed, toothy fish may sever the cables, and players must manage four distinct roles: treasure transport, combat, submarine piloting, and navigation.

The arsenal includes standard firearms like AKs and shotguns alongside unique options such as plunger guns and bubble cannons. As players descend deeper into the ocean, the environment shifts from bright waters to dark, dangerous depths, culminating in encounters with terrifying monsters and a boss known as Cat-o-Cthulhu.

Retrieved treasures allow players to rebuild a ruined beach base, unlocking new NPCs, weapons, costumes, and submarine upgrades. The demo also features various minigames, including volleyball, racing, and a chase sequence involving a giant water dragon. A final release date for Salty Dogs remains unannounced.
