Set five years after a pandemic caused by the 'Fool Virus,' the narrative follows a protagonist searching for their father who went missing three years prior. The journey leads the player into Rustown, a lawless slum inhabited by infected individuals suffering from cognitive decline, where various gangs vie for control.
Gameplay emphasizes stealth and observation rather than direct combat. Players must navigate the environment by hiding, timing their movements, and utilizing various tools and deceptions to bypass surveillance and uncover clues regarding the protagonist's father.
The experience involves interacting with diverse factions that may either assist or hinder the player's progress. By connecting clues and engaging in dialogue, players piece together the city's history. The title will support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing for cross-platform convenience between supported Xbox systems.
