Square Enix announced a Dragon Quest 4 event for Dragon Quest Smash Grow to commemorate the game's 0.5-year anniversary. This celebration, which includes special stories and various rewards, is scheduled to run until December 15.
The update introduces new mechanics such as companion adventure skills and memoria skills. Players can unlock companion skills by building bonds with Dragon Quest 4 characters, allowing them to assist in combat. Additionally, memoria skills can be activated by equipping matching memory items into specific slots, with S-rank growth allowing continued use after the event.
New equipment, including the Zenithian Sword, is available until December 22. These items feature wind-elemental attacks, such as the Zenithian Sword's 'Zenithian Rending Slash' special move and the 'Zenithian Blast' skill, which triggers after ten successful finish attacks.
The anniversary campaign offers up to 5,000 free gems via login bonuses. Furthermore, players with an adventure rank of 29 or lower can benefit from increased gold and experience gains until November 4.
