Key information

Nexon officially launched the Season 12 update for The Finals, titled Prime Time, on the 21st. This major content release introduces the game's first-ever solo competitive mode alongside significant mechanical overhauls and system upgrades.

The new Solo Showdown mode shifts the game from team-based competition to an individual tournament format. Players compete across three rounds where lower-ranked participants are eliminated based on their cash holdings, with the final survivor determined by the highest total at the end of the third round.

Gameplay mechanics see expansion with the True Sight specialization for the light build, allowing players to highlight enemies and detect cloaked targets. Additionally, new gadgets include the Mimic Device for object disguise and the Position Swapper, which enables players to instantly trade locations with map objects for tactical maneuvering.

The update introduces Dynamism 2.0, which enhances the game's destruction physics by adding progressive layers to buildings, causing them to twist and sway rather than collapse instantly. Furthermore, developers remastered the Monaco, Seoul, and Skyway Stadium maps, adding more objects and integrating real-time personalized commentary to heighten the game show atmosphere.
