Key information
The cozy life simulation adventure game Littlelands is scheduled to launch in Steam Early Access on November 16. To celebrate the Steam Next Fest, the developers have released an expanded, free demo that remains available even after the event concludes.
Players can explore the world at their own pace, engaging in activities such as farming, fishing, treasure hunting, and dungeon exploration. The game features a distinct claymation-style aesthetic and allows for social interactions with local residents or quiet moments like watching the sunset.
The updated demo introduces significant mechanical improvements, including a refined combat system that allows for target locking and responsive dodging. Additionally, the character creator has been expanded with new hairstyles, facial features, and clothing options. A new minimap, focus glow for interactive objects, and camera auto-rotation for mouse and keyboard users have also been implemented to improve navigation and usability.
Developer Rafael Martin expressed enthusiasm for the community to experience the smoother gameplay and customization options. The demo currently supports English and Spanish, with further technical adjustments like FPS limiting included to enhance the overall player experience.
