The hide-and-seek game NumeNume has officially launched on Steam and mobile platforms. The title is derived from the Japanese hiragana characters 'nu' (ぬ) and 'me' (め), which serve as the central theme for the game's unique visual concept.
Players are divided into fugitives and chasers within a group of similar-looking characters. Fugitives control a 'me' character hidden among many 'nu' characters, aiming to survive until the time limit expires by blending in with fake objects. Conversely, chasers must identify and capture the human-controlled targets by observing unnatural movements or subtle differences in appearance.
The game offers customization options allowing users to create their own characters, such as pairs like 'p' and 'b' or 'q' and 'b'. These custom characters change the identification criteria, and players can combine specific rules to alter match conditions.
NumeNume supports cross-play for up to 24 participants across PC and mobile devices. Players can engage in multiplayer matches with others or practice against CPU opponents in single-player modes.
