Riot Games officially introduced the new Duelist agent, Vyse, during the Valorant Champions Shanghai finals. The character is scheduled to join the game in Season 26 Act VI, with a release date set for October 27.
Unlike traditional Duelists that rely on speed or raw firepower for entry, Vyse focuses on controlling the battlefield by manipulating enemy positions. The agent utilizes telekinetic abilities to pull opponents, lift them into the air, or force them out of cover, effectively disrupting enemy defensive setups.
Vyse features a versatile kit including the 'Shear' ability, which pulls enemies toward a center point and inflicts concussive effects upon collision. The 'Arc' ability allows for repositioning via a dash, while the 'Razorvine' flash can be steered mid-air to blind opponents from unexpected angles. The ultimate, 'Steel Garden,' suspends enemies in the air, creating openings for follow-up attacks.
With the addition of passive utility for interacting with distant objects and the ability to function in both first and second-line roles, Vyse is expected to expand the tactical scope of the Duelist class by creating strategic opportunities for the entire team.
