Hearthstone has officially released its latest expansion, Reign of the Black Empire, which introduces 135 new collectible cards to the game. This update brings four legendary neutral Old Gods into the meta, each featuring unique abilities that allow them to attack only after their specific powers are exhausted.
The expansion introduces a new keyword called Combine, which enables players to replace parts of a minion's text with text from other cards in a designated list. This mechanic allows for the creation of unique minions and diverse strategic compositions. Additionally, Titan-forged cards have been added as defensive tools against the Old Gods.
Players can engage with the new Journey system, which began on the 14th. This campaign-style feature includes a seven-part story titled The Road to Ny'alotha, with new content and quests releasing weekly over a seven-week period.
To celebrate the launch, a special event centered on exploring Ny'alotha runs from the 21st until November 11th. Participants who complete the associated event quests can earn rewards, including the Ritual N'Zoth hero skin for the Warlock class. Further details regarding these rewards are available on the official website.
