NCSoft has released a major update for the PC MMORPG Blade & Soul Neo to celebrate its 2nd anniversary. This content expansion introduces a new side story, a raid dungeon, competitive events, and various gameplay improvements.
The new side story explores the history of the Kunlun Sect through an eight-chapter questline. Players can uncover the past of this faction and witness the narrative surrounding a young Jin Seo-yeon. Additionally, the 12-player raid dungeon, Whirlwind Temple, has been added as a high-difficulty challenge consisting of three distinct stages.
The update introduces the game's first competitive PvP event, which utilizes standardized stats to ensure fair combat regardless of gear or character growth. Participants can earn tokens to exchange for legendary martial arts manuals. Furthermore, the update adds a Clan Hideout, allowing members to cooperate against bosses, and implements new growth items like ancient-grade martial arts manuals and Zhaoyun weapons.
NCSoft has also refined class balance and key mapping to improve overall control and convenience. To mark the anniversary, the developer is hosting several in-game and web-based events, including a record-tracking feature, friend invitation rewards, and a mini-game called the Lightness Skill Competition.
