On October 14, 2026, British publisher Silver Lining Interactive released The Witch’s Bakery, a cozy adventure RPG developed by French studio Sunny Lab. The game follows Rene, a cheerful witch who runs a bakery in modern-day Paris and possesses the unique ability to heal people's hearts.
Gameplay is structured around three daily phases. During the day, players manage the bakery with a cat-like companion named Orio. In the evening, they explore Paris to build relationships with residents. At night, players retreat to an atelier to study recipes and refine their skills. To heal those with deep emotional conflicts, Rene enters the Heart Palace, a magical space where emotions take physical form, and guides them to their proper places.
The game features a hand-drawn art style and includes music by Cécile Corbel, known for her work on Studio Ghibli’s The Secret World of Arrietty. The title is available for 2400 yen on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch are planned for future release, which will include a digital cookbook featuring recipes inspired by the game's magical treats. The game supports multiple languages, including Japanese, English, and French.
