Hello Games has officially announced that No Man’s Sky is arriving on iPhone and iPad platforms. Players will be able to download the title directly to their devices within this month.
The developer has rebuilt the game to support touchscreen controls, allowing for deep exploration. Additionally, the mobile version includes support for controllers, mouse, and keyboard inputs. Despite the porting process, the game retains all previously released content, including the Cosmos Update.
The game relies on local device processing to generate environments in real-time. While compatible with iPhone 11 and iPad Air generation 3 or newer, there are hardware limitations. Specifically, planet settlements are restricted to iPhone 15 Pro models and higher, and the mobile version lacks multiplayer functionality, preventing players from meeting others in space or at hubs.
The mobile installation is approximately 4GB in size. Currently, Hello Games has only confirmed availability for Apple devices, with no official word on a potential Android release, though future expansion remains a possibility depending on the success of this launch.
