Limited Run Games and developer Bitmap Bureau have announced that He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will launch on February 4, 2027. This side-scrolling beat 'em up will be available on PS4, PS5, XBOX One, XBOX Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC for 29,99 euros.
The game features 2D action gameplay reminiscent of 90s arcade titles. Players can select from four playable characters: He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and She-Ra. Each hero possesses unique movements, strengths, and magical abilities to combat Skeletor's forces across more than 13 levels.
Bitmap Bureau, known for Final Vendetta and Xeno Crisis, is handling the 2D graphics, which aim to remain faithful to the original character designs. The title includes various franchise figures such as Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw, Kobra Khan, Orko, and Battle Cat, with developers claiming it features one of the largest rosters in a Masters of the Universe game.
The narrative follows the heroes as they attempt to stop an ancient ritual by Skeletor intended to plunge Eternia into darkness. The release is scheduled for early 2027 across the confirmed platforms.
