Sony has officially announced God of War Laufey, revealing that the title is scheduled to be released in the year 2027. The publisher confirmed that pre-orders for the upcoming game will open on Tuesday, September 29, ahead of the official launch date on February 16, 2027.
Players will be able to choose between a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. The Digital Deluxe version includes the main game alongside the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, Dark Alchemy Catalyst, an in-game resource pack, a digital mini artbook, and the official digital soundtrack.
Additionally, pre-ordering either edition before release grants players the Last Wish Armor Set, the Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance cosmetic, and a separate in-game resource pack. Sony Santa Monica also confirmed that the title will be released on disc.
This installment marks the first major chapter in the series without Kratos as the main protagonist. Instead, players control Faye, also known as Laufey the Just, as she fights her way through the afterlife known as The Everywhen.
