Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 23, 2026. The title will launch across current gaming ecosystems, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and a native version for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The single-player campaign focuses on a geopolitical crisis involving North Korea, featuring perspectives from a South Korean soldier and Captain Price. Additionally, the DMZ extraction mode returns, tasking players with infiltrating conflict zones to secure military technology before exfiltrating while avoiding rival squads.
