The official social media account for the action game Cult of the Lamb has addressed the release of a slot machine title titled Cursed Sheep. Published by Compass Games on October 7, the slot game has faced accusations of directly imitating characters from the popular indie title.

Cursed Sheep was developed for the online casino platforms Stake and Stake USA. Community notes attached to the promotional material for the slot game allege that it features assets stolen from Cult of the Lamb, specifically claiming that the protagonist and supporting characters were created through AI-generated copying.

In response to the situation, the developers of Cult of the Lamb publicly mocked the slot game, referring to it as slot slop. The team further indicated that they are considering taking legal action against the parties responsible for the alleged character theft.

Cult of the Lamb is an action-adventure game available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, iOS, and Mac. While the original post regarding the legal threat was later deleted, the controversy highlights ongoing concerns regarding intellectual property usage in gambling software.
