Steam is currently hosting a "Fallout Day" sale featuring the Fallout series, running from October 14 through October 24. While the storefront advertises discounts up to 75 percent, Fallout 76 is available at an 80 percent reduction.
The series is set in a post-nuclear world where player choices regarding combat, diplomacy, or stealth influence the narrative. Gameplay styles vary by title: the original Fallout and Fallout 2 are RPGs, Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is a strategy game, and entries from Fallout 3 onward function as first-person shooters.
Fallout: New Vegas focuses on faction conflicts in a desert city, while Fallout 4 has surpassed 35 million units sold as of July. Fallout 76 allows for online multiplayer, and a VR-compatible version of Fallout 4 is also available.
Numerous titles and DLCs are included in the promotion. For example, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition is reduced to 549 yen, and Fallout: New Vegas is priced at 275 yen. Various bundles, such as the Fallout Franchise Bundle and the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, are also discounted.
