Developer Bones Brothers and publisher B-Team have released a playable demo for Fallbearers on Steam. This 2D side-scrolling action title tasks players with transporting a coffin through a Victorian-era city while ensuring the deceased remains inside.
The game supports online cooperative multiplayer, though players can also attempt to control both undertakers simultaneously. Gameplay involves managing acceleration, jumping, and adjusting the coffin's height to navigate obstacles like gaps and ledges.
Physics-based mechanics govern the body inside the coffin, causing it to slide or fly out if the container tilts or sustains impact. Players must contend with diverse environments, including stormy seas and snowy mountains, alongside hazards like crows and ski lifts that attempt to steal the corpse.
Prospective players should note that the current version of Fallbearers does not offer support for the Japanese language.
