A new compact official Xbox controller, the Xbox Nano Controller, has been officially unveiled. Designed to improve portability and price accessibility, this device stands as the smallest and lightest controller in the history of the Xbox lineup.
The controller measures 13cm in height and weighs approximately 100g. Despite its reduced size, which is intended for users with smaller hands or for gaming while traveling, it retains the familiar button layout and the 18 standard input controls found on previous models.
Technical features include a C-type rechargeable battery and support for both Xbox wireless standards and Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, the device incorporates customizable action buttons that allow users to assign frequently used shortcuts, such as screen captures or video recording, to their personal preferences.
Pre-orders for the device began on the 14th in the United States, with a retail price set at 49.99 dollars. The official launch is scheduled for November, with availability confirmed for South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
