The first-person Soulslike Valor Mortis appears to have lowered its minimum PC hardware demands just before its October 13th release. While developers One More Level have not issued a formal announcement, the game's Steam page now reflects significantly more accessible entry specifications for the Napoleonic-themed title.

Previously, the game required an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-11700 processor alongside an AMD Radeon RX 6700 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super. The updated listing now suggests a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-10600K CPU, paired with an RX 5600 XT or GTX 1660 Ti GPU. Conversely, the required SSD storage space has increased from 50GB to 60GB.

Testing with a GTX 1070 at 1080p on Low settings required TSR upscaling at 67% to maintain performance. Even with these adjustments, the game experienced stuttering and framerate drops, suggesting that players seeking a smoother experience may require more VRAM than the current minimums imply.

Because the developers have not confirmed these changes, the current Steam requirements may not be final. The game is scheduled to launch on October 13th.
